Collection: Influenced by symmetric and geometric pattern, Merle O'Grady creates luxury fashion jewellery using her signature ‘punched' laser-cut Perspex shapes. These specially-designed components merge practicality with design, enabling pieces to have lightweight properties regardless of size, especially appealing when it comes to large-scale statement earrings. Combining seemingly contrasting materials to create a new aesthetic is a key feature of Merle's designs. Rough natural semi-precious stones are mixed with sleek, almost futuristic Perspex shapes while chunky vintage chains sit alongside delicate Swarovski crystal detailing. With a genuine love of craftsmanship, the juxtaposition of machine-made Perspex elements with London-based handcrafted assembly is an important factor in Merle's design process. The result is adornment that is striking and feminine yet armour-like, and ultimately luxurious. Merle's work has garnered great press attention, recently featuring in Vogue, Elle, InStyle and Grazia among others. Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna are among the growing number of fans of Merle O'Grady's emerging label. About: Born in Dublin in 1983, Merle O'Grady trained in Fashion Design at Limerick School of Art and Design before relocating to London in 2004. There she specialised in Accessory Design at the world-renowned Cordwainers College. After gaining experience in the studios of London designers (inc.
